Laundry Detergent

Okay, so this isn't food, but it's a great recipe to have on hand! Say goodbye to spending lots of money on laundry detergent! This detergent is both cheap and incredibly effective. I always have the stuff on hand, and I can whip up a batch in under 5 minutes.

Ingredients
1 bar of soap (you can use Fels Naptha laundry soap or a bar of bath soap, it doesn't matter)
1 cup washing soda (found on the laundry care aisle)
1 cup borax (found on the laundry care aisle)

Directions
  • Grate the bar of soap into a bowl.
  • Pour washing soda and borax into the bowl and mix all ingredients together.
  • Pour into a jar with lid, and you're set!
  • Use one tablespoon per load.
